Barcelona to announce Raphinha signing from Leeds United on Thursday or Friday
Barcelona and Leeds are planning to announce the completion of the Raphinha transfer on Thursday and Friday, according to Victor Navarro of Cadena COPE.
The two clubs finally reached an agreement on a £63m transfer on Sunday night [Sport], with a bid officially accepted on Tuesday evening [Fabrizio Romano, July 12].
But while Raphinha is set to fly in to Barcelona to undergo his medical on Wednesday [David Ornstein], the clubs are not anticipating an official announcement until later in the week.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, journalist Navarro said; “At this time (11:45 p.m.) Barca’s forecast:
“Tomorrow the signing of Raphinha will NOT be official. They will receive him, yes, at the airport as the third signing of the season.
“It is the forecast of the club [that] they will [announce him on] Thursday-Friday.”
Finally
There is finally an end in sight to this transfer saga in sight and Leeds can move on from the Brazilian and his amazing two years at the club.
The 25-year-old made it very clear that he wanted Barcelona over anything or anyone else, and that held up his exit considering Leeds had an agreement with Chelsea.

But the club have finally got their money from the Spanish club and with a replacement already sorted, attention can now switch towards bolstering other areas of the squad.
Raphinha’s attitude has been excellent throughout. He was willing to go on tour, returned to training when expected and never let his head turn last season even when speculation about his future was rife.
Now he won’t be able to hurt Leeds by playing for a Premier League club and fans can wish him well in his future career now that this is all finalised and complete.
