Bamford to Middlesbrough return given one-word reply amid Leeds uncertainty
Leeds United are working to offload Patrick Bamford this summer.
Daniel Farke has a huge squad that certainly needs some trimming and has already told Bamford that he will not be in his plans for the Premier League campaign.
Most of the focus this summer has been on bringing in new players, but the former Middlesbrough man is in a list of players the Peacocks are willing to offload.
The striker had been offered to a host of clubs this summer, including newly promoted Burnley and Boro.

Middlesbrough have no interest in resigning Bamford
Wrexham remain a potential option for Bamford this summer, and a return to Burnley could be a possibility, though their former loanee would surely find his playing time limited.
Now, Middlesbrough have been ruled out of signing the former England international.

In an X post from a Boro fan account, Boropolis (29 July), they said: “Middlesbrough have zero interest in re-signing Patrick Bamford.”
This was then quickly followed up by The Northern Echo journalist Scott Wilson, who simply responded: “Agreed”.
The news from the North East suggests that the out-of-form striker won’t be returning to his former home.
Bamford contributed to 40 goals across his two spells at Middlesbrough before joining the Whites in 2018.
His time in West Yorkshire has been turbulent, and despite previously showing that he could perform in the first tier, he has been told he can leave by Farke.

With Leeds looking to sign a striker after Igor Paixao move to Elland Road looks to have fallen through, it feels like the right time for Bamford to depart.
The 31-year-old’s form has been unpredictable in Leeds colours, and he has previously shown that despite his career dips, he can still bounce back.
Bamford had his struggles in the North East, where he was in and out of the side before resurrecting his Middlesbrough career.
Wherever he goes next, it is likely that just as it did in West Yorkshire, his good times will outweigh the bad.
