Aston Villa want to sign Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United with European talks sought
Aston Villa wants to sign relegated Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville, however, they face competition from European clubs PSV and RB Leipzig, as reported by FCUpdate on 7 June.
The 21-year-old winger burst onto the scene last season and scored his first goal for the club on 23 October as a substitute during a 3-2 loss to Fulham at Elland Road, before scoring in games against Liverpool, Tottenham, and Bournemouth.
The Dutch forward came through Feynoord’s academy and after loan spells at FC Dordrecht and ADO Den Haag, he signed for Leeds in September 2020.

Now, following the Yorkshire giants’ relegation from the Premier League, it has been reported that PSV want to sign Summerville after appointing their new head coach, however, they face competition from Premier League side Aston Villa in their pursuit.
Where next for Summerville?
The talented young winger was always going to be a man in demand this summer after Leeds United’s relegation from the Premier League. While he could still yet stay at the club, if offers do come in then it is likely his head will be turned.
The question will be where the player wants to continue playing his football, whether he will be tempted by a return to his home country where he first started his career, or whether the idea of continuing his development in England will be too hard to resist for him.
For Leeds, they would likely prefer to sell abroad, however, the fee that Aston Villa could offer may be more than what PSV would be willing to pay and in that instance, they may be tempted to sell to the midlands-based side.
Whatever happens, Summerville has certainly shone in a Leeds shirt and will be missed if he is to leave.
