Aston Villa reveal price as Leeds ready Alex Moreno transfer
Leeds United are looking to sign Aston Villa left-back Alex Moreno in the ongoing transfer window amid uncertainty around Junior Firpo.
The ex-Barcelona ace’s contract at Elland Road expires at the end of June, and Real Betis are reportedly in the race to get him as a free agent.
Daniel Farke could have Moreno at his disposal before the start of next season, with the Whites making an approach for his signature.
The Spanish defender spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, and his current contract at Villa Park expires next year, arguably bringing down his value.

Leeds United told to pay £5m for Moreno transfer
Villa have set a £5million price tag on Moreno amid interest from Leeds, according to Alex Crook.
The talkSPORT journalist revealed on X (10 June) that the Whites have the 32-year-old on their radar this summer as they look to bolster their defence at Elland Road.
Competition | Appearances | Assists | Minutes played |

After struggling for game time at the Villans, the left-back moved to Forest last summer, but Nuno Espirito Santo didn’t trust him either.
With vast La Liga and Premier League experience, the former Betis star seems like a decent option for the West Yorkshire outfit as potential reinforcement for their return to the top flight.
Farke needs more than Moreno transfer at Leeds
Sam Byram could also leave Leeds soon, with his contract expiring in the coming weeks, and it remains to be seen whether the 31-year-old is offered a new deal.
Firpo has several options to leave Elland Road, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dominican Republic international opt for pastures new.
If Farke loses two of his left-backs, the recruitment department will need to scramble for replacements.
Even if Leeds sign Moreno, they may need to look for another player to play in that position as squad depth will undoubtedly be key to survive the rigours of the Premier League.
The Whites should also focus on strengthening other areas, with a new goalkeeper, centre-back, midfielder and striker evidently needed.
Paraag Marathe and 49ers Enterprises have a massive transfer window ahead of them, and they must back Farke by building a competitive squad.
It wouldn’t make sense for the West Yorkshire outfit’s hierarchy to stick with the German manager and not give him the right tools to avoid immediate relegation next season.
