Aston Villa ready to do Buendia deal as Leeds loan update emerges
Emi Buendia could be set for a move to Leeds United in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old was linked with a transfer to Elland Road in the winter window, but he opted for a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen instead.
His time in the Bundesliga has not gone as hoped, though, and upon a return to Villa Park, Unai Emery is looking at new possibilities for his future.

Leeds weigh up loan options
With his loan spell in Germany not working out the way he would have hoped, Buendia is looking for a new home this summer and, unsurprisingly, Leeds could be the destination.
The former Aston Villa record signing of £33million is reportedly available for another loan move during the summer transfer window and Elland Road could be his destination.
As Daniel Farke looks to strengthen his squad ahead of life in the Premier League, the Argentinian could be the answer to some of the boss’ prayers.
According to the Sun on Sunday (1 June, page 55), the midfielder is available for a deal and would be keen on a move to a Premier League club.
The report states that his availability has alerted Farke to seek another deal, but there could be an issue on Leeds’ end.
The Whites will only be allowed to strike two Premier League loan deals next summer, meaning they have to choose wisely.
Furthermore, Buendia is said to be less keen on facing a battle for survival, where the newly promoted sides are likely to be.

Farke to seek Buendia reunion
As Farke looks to prove himself in the Premier League with Leeds, it’s no surprise that he is keen to turn to players he trusts.
Given how well he did under the German manager at Norwich City, if that form can be replicated, then the West Yorkshire outfit will certainly have a strong addition on their hands.

Although the Argentinian isn’t keen on a fight against relegation, if he can provide the levels of quality expected, it could help to steer Leeds away from the bottom three.
With Premier League experience under his belt already, this is exactly the type of signing that Farke needs to be targeting ahead of the summer, providing the necessary strength and experience to succeed.
