Aston Villa ace Emi Buendia makes Leeds United loan decision
Ben Jacobs has reported that Aston Villa ace Emi Buendia doesn’t want to drop to the Championship amid interest from Leeds United.
The diminutive Argentine was linked with a move to Elland Road in the summer transfer window but a deal was rejected by the Villans [The Square Ball].
After featuring across just 48 Premier League minutes this season, the 28-year-old could be on the move in January but Jacobs has revealed to talkSPORT (2 January), that it is unlikely to be to Elland Road.
He said: “Then you’ve got Buendia who doesn’t want to drop down. It’s a difficult window for Leeds to strengthen in.”
Emi Buendia unlikely to join Leeds United from Aston Villa
The Whites are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship table but reinforcements in the winter window could still be required to help secure promotion.
There have been frailties on show at points this campaign, somewhat shown by the late equaliser conceded against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday (1 January).
On another day, Daniel Farke’s side could have scored more than one which could point towards a January signing being needed in forward areas.
Buendia could prove to be an ideal addition for all parties given his lack of game time this season and his experience of earning promotion from the Championship.

With that being said, this will only make it more disappointing if the former Norwich man does reject a move to Yorkshire if an approach is made during the January window.
It would be bizarre for the attacker to reject a move given a lack of opportunity from Unai Emery but his decision about his future is yet to be seen.
