Archie Gray value already set to soar in new Leeds United transfer update
Any bid to sign Archie Gray from Leeds United could soar beyond £50million, according to HITC.
The media outlet has reported that although an initial deal could be less than £30m, after all the add-ons that would be required, that initial fee could sky-rocket.
A plethora of clubs have already been linked with a move for the 18-year-old, however, nothing has been agreed regarding his future as yet.
Archie Gray to seal Leeds United transfer?
Gray played a pivotal role in the Whites’ team last season but due to the amount of excitement around the 18-year-old, it’s unlikely his fee will be this high for much longer.
Granted, Leeds could hold onto the defensive-midfielder for another term and he could perform even better, but it doesn’t feel like it’s worth a £50m risk.
Although Leeds’ financial woes aren’t as bad as many first thought due to the Red Bull investment [Yorkshire Evening Post, 25 June] any additional sales would no doubt help the West Yorkshire outfit with any future battles they may have.

His sale would more than push Leeds over the threshold needed to abide by PSR and could even allow the Whites to keep players such as Crysencio Summerville who has been consistently linked with a move away this summer [Ben Jacobs, 24 June].
All in all, despite the loss of Gray having a fairly strong impact, £50m could help Leeds improve their team across the board and increase their hopes of promotion.
In other Leeds news, the Whites have set their demands for Illan Meslier should he leave the club this summer.
