Archie Gray starts medical as final Tottenham transfer update drops at Leeds United
Archie Gray is undergoing his medical ahead of joining Tottenham with final talks on with Leeds United, according to Michael Bridge.
Writing on his personal X account (1 July), the Sky Sports reporter claims a deal is close to being completed for the 18-year-old midfielder to leave Elland Road.
Gray has already completed part of his medical with final negotiations ongoing, with a deal expected to cost a total of £40million including add-ons [Nizaar Kinsella, 29 June].

The summer transfer was already expected to be incredibly difficult for Daniel Farke and the 49ers to navigate, but it’s just got even more difficult.
Crysencio Summerville has always been expected to move on but there was hope that the club would be able to hold on to their 18-year-old sensation, considering his family links to the club and his age.
But even though the player was open to staying in the Championship, his talent is so that it has attracted the interest of top clubs and offers that are too good to refuse have been made.
There are better midfielders in the world right now, for sure, but there aren’t many players out there with the potential and ceiling of Gray and absolutely none of them would be open to joining Leeds while they’re not in the Premier League.
It’s a huge blow to the team and the club as a whole, and fans will be mad about the sale, but that’s football now and Farke must search for solutions to soften the blow.
