Archie Gray stance shared at Leeds United amid talk of big club transfer interest
Leeds United may have been handed a boost to keep Archie Gray this summer as he is not asking to make a move away despite plenty of interest, according to Ben Jacobs.
Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are the latest huge clubs to show an interest in signing the 18-year-old after a great breakout season [TEAMtalk].
Now in an update on his future via GIVEMESPORT (18 June), Jacobs has suggested that he hasn’t shown a desire to leave Elland Road.
He said: “So I can see a scenario where Gray stays at Leeds because he’s not knocking on the door to leave. His head is not turned by offers of big money or big clubs or European football.
“He’s thinking about what’s right for his short-term development, and that might actually mean, despite a lot of noise and a huge amount of interest, that Leeds are able to keep hold of him.”
Archie Gray could stay at Leeds United
With all the talent in the whole of the Leeds squad, fans would probably want to keep Gray more than anybody else this summer.
Crysencio Summerville was electric last season as he won the Championship Player of the Season despite missing out on promotion.
He could depart with links suggesting that he could be of interest to Brighton and Hove Albion this summer among others.
Gray has similarly been linked away from Elland Road heavily but as of yet, nothing has come up that appears to be concrete.
Given Gray’s age and the fact that he is a Leeds fan, staying at the club ahead of the newest Championship season may be positive for all parties.

With Daniel Farke wanting to strive towards promotion next season, he will want to keep hold of his best players and Gray is one of those.
It will be music to Leeds fans’ ears that their star boy looks set to stay for at least one more year.
