Leeds United sources insist that they are yet to receive official bids for Archie Gray in the summer transfer window, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist reported on Friday (28 June) that although the club have received interest from clubs already this summer, that has yet to be transformed into a genuine transfer offer.

Gray's future has been the subject of plenty of speculation in the lead-up to the summer transfer window with several Premier League sides holding an interest in his services including both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur [The Telegraph, 27 June].

Will Archie Gray exit Leeds United in summer transfer window amid Chelsea interest?

While Leeds United may not yet have fielded a genuine offer for Gray's services this summer, it feels like a case of when rather than if a Premier League side will test the Whites' resolve with a bid for the teenager.

There are few more exciting talents in the Championship currently than the 18-year-old who has taken to first-team football like a duck to water under Daniel Farke and there is a feeling around Elland Road that he could be a real star.

If one club does make an offer, it could well see a number of other teams quickly move to try and enter the race as several top sides will be incredibly keen to avoid missing out on his services, as was the case with Jude Bellingham previously.

Hopefully, the Whites will stand by their asking price and refuse to drop it. They are not in a position where they have to sell their star players having missed out on promotion, but a big-money offer may well be tempting.

Ultimately, Leeds will do everything they can to try and keep Gray this summer and at the moment he doesn't appear to be going anywhere. But in the transfer window, that can change at the drop of a hat.
