Anthony Caci poker begins as Leeds United ready to dig for new transfer
Anthony Caci is one of several players to have been linked with a move to Leeds United.
Elland Road will host Premier League football next season, and as a result, Leeds United will have to take their recruitment to the next level, if they are to have any chance at surviving.
With the calibre of players currently linked with a move to Leeds, it seems as though the 49ers are set to do just that, with a fresh update on their pursuit of Mainz star Caci.
The French defender has been linked with a move to Daniel Farke's side, who will be keen to secure more new arrivals ahead of pre-season.
Leeds remain keen on Caci arrival
With Junior Firpo's exit seemingly imminent, signing a left-back to replace him will be high up on the list of priorities at Elland Road.
Caci typically operates there, though can also be used as a wing-back should Farke opt to utilise a back five in the Premier League, with a fresh update emerging.
Via Bild (30 June, pg10), Christian Heidel has said there is a 99 per cent chance that Mainz will retain the services of their key players ahead of a game of "replacement poker", which can be interpreted as the fact that they will sign replacements if they do lose some.

Leeds are said to be ready to "dig at him" in a bid to secure his arrival, with the exit of Jonathan Burkadt claimed to be the only departure of a top performer expected.
Fulham have also registered an interest in the defender, though Leeds' ability to offer first-team guarantees could see them emerge as favourites in the coming days.
Farke needs to see more movement at Elland Road
Leeds already face a difficult task of staying in the Premier League next season, though recruitment is set to play a deciding role in whether or not Farke can achieve it.
The German simply needs to be backed, not only financially, but with meticulous planning and decision making.
