Ex-Leeds United midfielder Andy Couzens has joked that Erling Haaland could join the Whites over Chelsea.
Haaland, 20, is arguably the best young centre-forward in the world with the Norway international scoring 43 goals in 45 club appearances since joining Borussia Dortmund last January.
As he was born in Leeds when father Alf Inge was playing for the Whites, Haaland has been linked with a move to Elland Road earlier in his career [The Athletic].
He’s also been linked with a number of top clubs across Europe due to his fine form at Dortmund but talkSPORT put out a tweet on Wednesday which suggested he won’t be joining Chelsea.
According to German newspaper BILD, he wants to join a club bigger than Chelsea and that led to Couzens taking to his personal Twitter account to cheekily reply: “Leeds it is then.”
Leeds it is then 😉😉 https://t.co/R0ebWet2m7

Let’s face it, we don’t have a chance of signing Haaland any more with the Norway striker tearing up the Bundesliga and the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund.
His career has accelerated at a rate of knots because it does not seem that long ago when the striker was playing for Molde in Norway and getting linked with Leeds for the first time.
Leeds were struggling in the middle of the Championship then and were nowhere near promotion but now, they’re a Premier League side with massive ambition.
While it’s perhaps impossible to sign Haaland now, who knows how things could change in the coming years?
Haaland’s bound to be banging in the goals somewhere and we hope that Leeds have established themselves as a top Premier League club.
We’ll always have the advantage that Haaland was born here and his father played for us and in 2017, the striker told Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten that “the dream is to win the Premier League with Leeds”.
We’re here and waiting, Erling. We would love for you to realise your dream.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are set to firm up their interest in this £9.5million-rated Brazilian ace.
