Andrea Radrizzani is reportedly unwilling to offer a new Leeds United deal to Kalvin Phillips until June and it will be contingent on one thing.
According to the Daily Star, any offer in the summer will hinge on relegation as the Whites are right in the heart of the battle.
With four games to go, many have tipped them to finish 18th as they've got Arsenal and Chelsea to play next while Everton have recently beaten Chelsea while Burnley have enjoyed a bounce after sacking Sean Dyche.

It has been understood that a contract of £100k-a-week is being prepared for the 26-year-old.
Currently, he's on £25k-a-week [Times] so that will quadruple his earnings and it will be completely warranted.
Phillips is one of the club's key players and this will be in line with how important he is to the first team.
That said, he may not want to put pen to paper and spend another season in the Championship.
In a World Cup year, Gareth Southgate is unlikely to cast his scouting net in England's second tier.
The likes of Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Jordan Henderson are all expected to be in the limelight and they'll possibly be front and centre of his plans.
These are tricky times for Radrizzani and Phillips and relegation could see the England international looking for a way out of Elland Road at the earliest.
