Agent Paul O Keefe has shared that Tottenham's move to sign Leeds star Archie Gray could still be on despite missing the June 30th PSR deadline.

Writing on his personal X account (30 June), the football agent with links to Spurs shared that a deal could still help the Whites' PSR issues despite the deadline passing as it can be classed as "near miss" business and be approved for the 2023/24 calculations.

Gray is increasingly likely to move to Spurs [The Mirror, 30 June] after an initial transfer to Brentford collapsed, despite the 18-year-old undergoing a medical [Graham Smyth, 29 June].

Archie Gray to leave Leeds United this summer

Leeds were expected to make a major sale before June 30th due to their financial situation, but that deadline has passed and no key players have been moved on.

That's largely down to Red Bull's investment in the club easing those concerns [YEP, 17 June], but it now seems that it wasn't a hard deadline anyway and a deal can still add to their totals.

Gray is expected to move imminently at this point, and it now seems inevitable that his destination will be Tottenham rather than Brentford.

It's a blow for Leeds fans who may have been given renewed hope that the generational teenager could stay at Elland Road for the 2024/25 campaign.

But fans will be better off accepting that he is moving on and just hoping the Whites will be able to secure the best possible deal for themselves to at least make it worthwhile.
