Aberdeen manager expects Calvin Ramsay to stay despite Leeds bid
Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass does not expect Calvin Ramsay to leave the club this month, despite Leeds reportedly tabling a bid for the defender.
The young right-back has been linked with a potential exit this month, with several Premier League clubs and Serie A side Bologna interested in taking him away from Scotland.
But after reported news of bids being tabled by Leeds and Bologna [Di Marzio], manager Glass has revealed that nothing is close to imminent and he expects Ramsay to still be part of his squad after Monday’s deadline closes.

“We’re still at the stage where I’ve not been told anything ‘s imminent,” he said via Daily Record.
“So whether there is or isn’t any bids in, it’s not close enough that it’s going to affect our team tomorrow.
“We’ve got players to cover different positions in the squad and targets for any eventualities, so we’re always doing our work behind the scenes.
“He (Ramsay) is fine. It’s definitely affected him a touch, I think anyone can see that. But we’ll get to Monday night and I think he’ll still be with us and ready to tackle the second half of the season.”

Push
There is a deal to be done here for the young defender and if Leeds really want to get him in they certainly can.
This is an 18-year-old who has been linked with both of the Old Firm clubs as well as Manchester United and Leicester, while his chairman described him as ‘elite‘ before the window opened.
Leeds are looking to strengthen but Bielsa likes to work with coachable players and Ramsay certainly falls into that category being just 18-years-old.
With Cody Drameh having left on loan earlier this month, the Whites could do with a new full-back and with the number of injuries they’ve had this season he’ll get his chance.
Ramsay would be a player for the present and the future and they should press ahead with the transfer before the big boys bully their way into the frame.
