49ers to make unpopular Leeds United transfer decision, fans have to understand
Leeds United have the summer to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, having secured the Championship title.
Daniel Farke’s side will have a £100million financial boost ahead of the summer transfer window, which will aid their player search.
However, just because they are armed with nine figures, it does not mean that the Elland Road club will spend all of it.

49ers Enterprises to air on side of caution
Leeds know that they will have to spend their money wisely if they are to swerve relegation at the first attempt.
The previous three promoted sides have all gone down without a whimper, and the same will be expected of the Elland Road club.
Position | Club | Points |
16th | Manchester United | 39 |
17th | Tottenham Hotspur | 38 |
18th | Ipswich Town | 22 |
19th | Leicester City | 22 |
20th | Southampton | 12 |
Although Farke’s side have performed admirably this season, they will need to strengthen in several areas.
Spending big is a strategy that Nottingham Forest utilised to great effect, but they avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth on their return to the top flight.
However, Leeds owners will spend within their means rather than going all out, according to journalist Adam Pope.
Writing for BBC Sport‘s live blog (13 May), he said 49ers Enterprises will not spend outside their means and will instead abide by the PSR regulations, meaning the amount spent is dependent on money brought in.

Leeds have several transfer priorities
The Yorkshire club must bolster multiple areas of their team if they are to compete in the Premier League next season.
A new goalkeeper is a top priority for Farke, with Illan Meslier enduring a nightmare season in the second tier.
The Elland Road club have been linked with Nick Pope, and his departure from Newcastle United appears likely given constant links with James Trafford.
Elsewhere, a new striker will be on the agenda with doubts over whether Joel Piroe can make the step up to the top flight.
Leeds have been linked with a move for Everton’s Beto, and he has enjoyed an upturn in form under David Moyes.
Unfortunately, Manor Solomon will return to his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur, and it is uncertain whether Leeds can land him permanently.
Farke’s side will be unfancied next season, but they should channel their underdog status to give them every chance.
And while fans may not be happy that the owners will not go above and beyond in terms of spending, it is understandable as they do not want to land the Whites in trouble down the line.
