49ers seek to stop Luis Sinisterra Leeds United exit amid European interest
The 49ers are eager to prevent Luis Sinisterra from departing Leeds United during the summer transfer window, according to Spanish news outlet, AS.
The 23-year-old missed the last part of the 2022/23 season with an ankle ligament injury and it remains to be seen when he will return.
AS now report on Tuesday 13 June that some clubs in Germany and Spain are interested in the Colombian but the new administration at Leeds are eager to keep hold of the big-money signing.

No choice
Sinisterra was extremely unlucky with his injury issues during the 2022/23 season. There were long periods of the campaign where he was confined to the sidelines.
When it comes to his future, it’s hard to see how Leeds have a choice in the matter. If a big-money bid comes in it will be extremely hard to turn down.
Yes, the 49ers do have significant wealth, but intelligent decisions will still have to be made. They cannot risk plunging Leeds into debt once again.

Moving on high-earners with no Championship experience seems like a sensible ploy. The board should be looking to assemble a squad littered with players who know how to get out of the second tier.
Premier League stars are sometimes not best suited following a team’s relegation. Potentially the tried and tested Championship model should be the route to go down.
There are certainly so big decisions which will have to be made in the coming weeks.
