16-time champions ramp up talks to get deal over line for Leeds player in coming hours
Besiktas are prioritising a move for Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier in the final hours of the winter transfer window in Turkiye on Friday.
Super Lig clubs have until 6 February to do business, and the Istanbul club have the 25-year-old shot-stopper on their radar.
Meslier reportedly isn’t keen on moving to Besiktas, but it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
Lucas Perri has also been linked with an exit from Elland Road, and fans in LS11 will have to wait and see what the future holds for two of their goalkeepers.

Besiktas want Illan Meslier agreement at Leeds United
Besiktas have intensified negotiations to sign Meslier from Leeds in recent hours, according to Sporx.
The news outlet reports on 6 February that the Super Lig club are looking to reach an agreement at Elland Road for the former Lorient shot-stopper’s signature.
It’s been claimed that the Frenchman is on top of Besiktas’ shortlist, with Perri also on their radar.
Daniel Farke can’t keep relying on Karl Darlow, with the Wales international clearly not good enough to consistently perform in the Premier League.

West Ham United’s resurgence will undoubtedly give the German manager some food for thought regarding his goalkeeper, with Perri and Darlow’s Sofascore records highlighting their struggles.
The Istanbul club, who have won 16 Super Lig titles, will surely have a hard time convincing the West Yorkshire outfit to sell any of their shot-stoppers, considering the dilemma Farke currently has in between the sticks.
Daniel Farke set for bold call at Elland Road after what’s happened
Perri has lost his number one spot at Elland Road, and rightfully so, after some underwhelming performances since his move from Olympique Lyon.
The goalkeeping department at Leeds is one of the most uncertain, as Darlow has failed to live up to expectations as well.

Meslier was the first-choice shot-stopper for a while before Farke decided to drop him towards the end of last season.
However, the German manager may have to finally bring the French ace back into the fold and give him an opportunity to redeem himself after Perri and Darlow have let him down.
