‘Solomon to be main man for Leeds’ after what happened to Swansea last time out

Leeds United are bound to rely on Manor Solomon once again for their clash against Swansea City on Saturday.

The Whites are set to welcome Alan Sheehan’s side to Elland Road on 29 March as they look to get back to winning ways in the Championship.

Ahead of the international break, Daniel Farke’s side recovered to secure a 2-2 draw against QPR despite going 2-0 down after just 30 minutes.

With promotion on the line in the final eight games of the season, there will be a lot of faith in Solomon to perform, starting against the Swans.

Leeds United to rely on Solomon v Swansea City

The Israel international has been superb on loan from Tottenham this campaign and still has a huge role to play in LS11 in the games that remain.

With 14 goal involvements in 31 appearances in the second tier, the 25-year-old will be hopeful of hitting close to 20 before his spell in West Yorkshire ends.

There will be hopes that the former Fulham man can kickstart his goal scoring form as Swansea travel to Elland Road this weekend.

After five games without a goal contribution in the Championship, a clash against the Swans poses the perfect opportunity to do so.

Their last showing came against Burnley as the Clarets secured a 2-0 win with former Leeds man Jaidon Anthony getting on the scoresheet.

He took advantage of some poor defending from Swansea’s Josh Key, who lost two duels and won just 33 per cent of his tackles at the Swansea.com Stadium [FotMob].

The 25-year-old also made an error that led to a goal and was dribbled past on one occasion, which will excite Solomon.

Against QPR, the Israeli winger completed three dribbles and had a 100 per cent shot on target ratio, which could cause issues for the Swans.

The Leeds loanee also won six duels, and that could serve him well if he comes up against Key at Elland Road this weekend.

Farke can’t afford to have a poor end to the campaign again after losing in the playoff final to Southampton last season.

The German will be relying on his best players like Solomon to perform to help secure as many points as possible before the campaign comes to an end.
