Leeds United reveal hints at nailed on defeat vs Aston Villa
Leeds United are up against it when they face Aston Villa.
Home form is going to be crucial for Leeds if they are to stay in the Premier League, and based on the fixtures ahead, it makes Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa even more important.
Daniel Farke is still under immense pressure at Elland Road, despite seemingly having been backed by the 49ers.
However, that backing could soon disappear if Leeds fall to a defeat against Aston Villa, and the latest reveal suggests that is more than likely.

Leeds’ record against top-half clubs is horrifying
Leeds’ 3-1 win against Wolves earlier this season was one of only three games that the Whites have come away from with maximum points.
The other two were an opening day victory at home to Everton, and a fairly recent 2-1 win against West Ham.
However, the theme from those games is that they were all against teams in the bottom half of the Premier League and struggling.
In fact, the last time Leeds beat a Premier League team placed above 13th was back in 2022, when the Whites secured a 2-1 win at Liverpool, who were eight at the time of the clash.
Since then, Leeds have lost 11 of the 17 clashes they’ve had against teams in the top half, with six draws.
Each of the Whites’ seven last Premier League wins have come against teams in the bottom eight of the Premier League, and with Aston Villa sitting in sixth, it does not bode well for their chances of a result.
Daniel Farke could be out of a job by Monday
After Villa, Leeds have a horrendous run of fixtures.
A trip to Man City is on 29 November, with encounters with Chelsea and Liverpool directly after, before ending 2025 with an away trip to high-flying Sunderland.
Should the Whites fall to a defeat against Villa, there is every chance that they don’t pick up another point this year, which would certainly spell the end for Farke.
However, the 49ers will be aware of that likelihood and could move to sack the German after their next defeat, and it would be a warranted decision.
