Leeds United can do something for the first time in 48 years vs Nottingham Forest
Leeds United are looking to rewrite history when they face Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Leeds suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton last time out, in a game that was full of broken records all for the wrong reasons.
On Sunday, Leeds travel to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, in what is one of their only winnable games between now and Christmas, at least on paper.
Not only will the Whites be looking to pick up a much-needed three points, but they will also be looking to repeat a feat that they last achieved in 1977.

Leeds secured victory against Forest last time out
The Whites haven’t had the best of times against Nottingham Forest in recent years, but last time out, they did.
Back in April 2023, goals from Luis Sinisterra and Jack Harrison secured a 2-1 win for Leeds over Forest, who actually took the lead through Orel Mangala.
Javi Gracia was the Whites manager then, with Steve Cooper in the Forest dugout.
If Leeds can secure victory against Forest on Sunday, it will be the first time they have beaten them in consecutive games since 1977.
The first win in that stretch was in 1971, with the final win of their victory streak in 1977, six years later.

Leeds United vs Nottingham Forest head-to-head
This fixture has been played 103 times, with the very first meeting coming back in 1921.
Leeds and Forest played out a 1-1 draw on that day, with the latter not suffering a defeat against the Whites until six years later.
Since then, Leeds have won 32, Forest have won 36, while the other 35 encounters have resulted in a draw.
Leeds have won just one of their last seven meetings with Forest, with an overwhelming majority of those games in the Championship.
Given the fixtures that lie ahead for the Whites, Sunday’s clash is already a must-win.
