Leeds United can condemn Nuno Santo to unwanted West Ham record after Premier League reveal
Leeds United will be well aware of the importance of Friday night’s clash with West Ham.
Daniel Farke is under some pressure at Leeds already, having overseen just one win in their last five Premier League encounters.
Their latest 2-0 defeat to Burnley left them 16th in the table, just one point above the Clarets, who have had a significantly harder start to the campaign.
However, while a lot of the focus will be on Leeds when they host West Ham at Elland Road, Nuno Santo is also at risk of staining his record with a record held by the Irons since 2017.

West Ham’s defeat to Sunderland on opening day has set them up for an unwanted record
While the most recent comparison is with Burnley, given the latest result, there are many looking at what Sunderland have achieved this season.
The Black Cats have accumulated 14 points, which is only one less than Leeds and Burnley combined after eight games.
Their campaign started with a 3-0 win over West Ham, which initiated the downfall of Graham Potter, who would be sacked just weeks later.
However, as per BBC Sport, the Hammers have not lost consecutive games against newly-promoted sides since 2017, when Brighton and Newcastle both secured three points against them.

Should that change this weekend, it would be a huge result for the Whites and for Farke, but Nuno would see his name next to an unwanted record at the London Stadium.
Leeds are favourites to beat West Ham on Friday night, though this record could play into their minds.
Is Daniel Farke really at risk of losing his job?
The answer is yes, though the same can be said for any manager in the lower half of the Premier League who isn’t getting results.
- Two wins
- Two draws
- Four defeats
- Seven goals scored
- 13 goals conceded
- Eight points
- 16th-placed
Leeds are among the favourites for relegation this season, and the closer they are to the bottom three, the more pressure will be placed on the shoulders of the German.
While Paraag Marathe previously gave his vote of confidence in Farke, that could change very quickly if results don’t start going their way.
A home clash against West Ham is the best chance the Whites are going to have of changing that, and failure to do so could be costly.
