Leeds’ awful record vs Tottenham examined, player with point to prove can be hero
Leeds United are back at Elland Road again this weekend as they welcome Tottenham to West Yorkshire.
Leeds drew 2-2 in their last home to Bournemouth, and the Whites are once again at home in the Premier League against Spurs this Saturday.
Leeds will be underdogs at home against Spurs, who have impressed under Thomas Frank, despite having a few early slip-ups themselves.
Daniel Farke will assess how his side can exploit Tottenham and needs to find the right balance in his team to help Leeds overcome a poor historical record.

Leeds have poor recent record against Tottenham
Leeds know they will be up against it on Saturday, with Tottenham having the players, particularly in the forward areas, to cause them problems.
Spurs have enjoyed playing against Leeds in recent times, having won the last four fixtures between these two sides.
More worryingly for the Whites, the last three games against Spurs have seen them concede four goals in all three games.
Last three games vs Tottenham | Result |
26 February 2022 | 4-0 loss |
12 November 2022 | 4-3 loss |
28 May 2023 | 4-1 loss |
Leeds fans will not like the look of that record, especially after conceding five to the other North London club, Arsenal, earlier this season.

Leeds must be defensively sound at Elland Road – up steps Joe Rodon
Leeds’ home form has been one of the positives from the season so far, with them taking five points from their three games.
They’ve kept two clean sheets at Elland Road and will look to grab a third in four games against Tottenham.
Joe Rodon has been in fine form for Leeds and will have extra motivation when he comes up against his former side.
If the likes of Rodon and Pascal Struijk can continue their good performances this weekend, Spurs will find it difficult to break them down.
Home form will be key to Leeds’ chances this season and a big scalp against Spurs on Saturday could be massive early on in the season.
