Igor Paixao to Leeds: How Feyenoord star could transform the Whites
Igor Paixao could become the latest Leeds United arrival.
Leeds have made some serious progress in the summer window so far, and are looking to continue that with the signing of Paixao.
It’s claimed it is “almost a done deal” for Leeds, who will be getting a serious injection of quality into their forward line if the transfer goes through.

Leeds set to benefit from Paixao’s arrival
With Manor Solomon back at Tottenham, it has been clear that Leeds have needed to bolster their attack, and they could be set to do that with the arrival of Paixao.
The Brazilian registered an incredible 26 goal contributions for Feyernood last season, though his stats go far beyond that.
Via FotMob, Paixao recorded a remarkable 70 chances created, with an xGOT (expected goals on target) of 16.25.

He was in the 94th percentile for non-penalty goals and the 85th percentile for progressive carries throughout the campaign.
Both of those will be crucial for the Whites in the Premier League, who will often have to rely on players to carry the ball up the pitch to carve out a chance at goal.
The Brazilian isn’t scared to do the dirty work either, winning 51 per cent of his duels last season and making 107 defensive recoveries.

Leeds have a real chance at Premier League survival
Both Sunderland and Leeds have made some serious signings so far this summer, and both have a chance to break the trend of newly promoted sides falling back into the Championship.
It would be a huge achievement for Leeds, but also encourage other sides that the gap can be bridged with the right planning and recruitment.
Should this deal get over the line, it would be a major coup, though there will still be work to do.
