Ethan Ampadu reveal showcases how Daniel Farke has it horribly wrong at Leeds
Ethan Ampadu has a key attribute that Leeds aren’t utilising.
Leeds are gearing up to face Aston Villa on Sunday, knowing that anything less than a win could spell the end for Daniel Farke.
With a series of difficult fixtures approaching for Leeds, this could be their last chance of three points this year, and Ampadu will be key to achieving that.
However, if that is to be the case, the Whites need to start doing something that they have strangely opted against for large parts.

Leeds aren’t utilising Ethan Ampadu’s long throws
Whether you love it, hate it or couldn’t care less about it, long throws have made their way back into modern football, much to the annoyance of the big six.
Sides at the bottom of the Premier League have been using them every week to their advantage, with many reaping the benefits of it.
However, Leeds aren’t, at least not as much as they could be.
Michael Kayode has taken 54 long throws for Brentford, Nordi Mukiele has taken 46 for Sunderland, and yet Ampadu has only taken 21 for Leeds.
That is despite the fact that the Welshman actually averages the second most distance from a throw-in in the Premier League with 29.7 metres.

Kayode leads the distance chart at 33.2 metres, but it certainly begs the question as to why Leeds aren’t taking more of them.
Forget long throws, Leeds just aren’t making the most of set-pieces in general
Dating all the way back to April, Leeds have only scored from three corners, and to make matters worse, only one of those goals has actually been direct from the delivery.
The other two occasions have come from either the second or third passage of play, demonstrating just how weak Leeds have been from corners.
Joe Rodon has shown his ability in the air this season, and the Whites need to make more of his talent, whether that be from corners or throws.
It’s clear that this is a weakness, and Farke needs to address it if he is to have any chance of saving his job at Elland Road.
