Dominic Calvert-Lewin nailed on to make Leeds United history after Crystal Palace reveal

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is looking to build on his impressive form as of late.

Off the back of Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Brentford, the Whites are unbeaten in their last three, while also being three points clear of the relegation zone.

Up next for Daniel Farke’s men is a clash with Crystal Palace at Elland Road, and Calvert-Lewin will be crucial to their chances of a result.

The former Toffees striker has scored in four consecutive games for Leeds, and should he repeat that against the Eagles, he will join an illustrious club.

Calvert-Lewin out to achieve Leeds-first since 2003

Calvert-Lewin looked hopeless at the start of the season, in all honesty, but his turnaround since then has been quite spectacular.

Not only has he scored four in his last four games, but the Englishman looks to be playing with more confidence than he has done in years, which can only be a good thing.

If he can keep up his goalscoring form this weekend, he will become the fourth Leeds player in history to score in five consecutive Premier League appearances.

Mark Viduka, back in 2003, was the most recent star to have achieved the feat, with Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink and Rod Wallace both also managing it in the 90s.

Thankfully, Calvert-Lewin has a huge omen in his favour, which makes the goal seem more like reality this weekend.

Crystal Palace reveal showcases why Calvert-Lewin will make history

Injuries and lack of form have played a big part in Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League career, though he has always been able to supply his team with goals, and that has been the case at Leeds.

Quite pleasingly, Crystal Palace are the side he appears to have plenty of joy against, with five goals scored in his 13 appearances against the Eagles.

Calvert-Lewin has only managed more goals against Newcastle in his Premier League career, and that could change this weekend at Elland Road.

The Whites have been excellent at home this season, though they must also be wary of the fact that Crystal Palace have the best away record in the Premier League.
