Daniel Farke to make important Manor Solomon call ahead of Leeds United v Plymouth Argyle

Manor Solomon has experienced a tough time of late at Leeds United after suffering an injury and losing his place in the starting XI.

The Israeli international has played 140 minutes of football since returning from his setbacks at Thorp Arch, though he has yet to add to his single assist from his debut against Hull City.

Fans have certainly been disappointed with the winger’s drop in form and his injury was just another nail in the coffin for the Tottenham loanee, but recent signs have been positive.

While Leeds were already 3-0 up against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 2 November, Solomon was eager to earn his spot back in Daniel Farke’s starting XI before the Whites travel to The Den next.

Daniel Farke to start Manor Solomon in Millwall v Leeds United?

In 24 minutes of football at Elland Road, Solomon completed 92 per cent of his passes, 100 per cent of his dribbles, made two passes into the final third and won two corners [FotMob].

He also worked hard defensively, winning 100 per cent of his tackles and 89 per cent of his ground duels, and even won three fouls against a frustrated Plymouth side, barely putting a foot wrong.

Some fans have suggested that Farke could look to terminate the player’s loan spell early, sending him back to Spurs in January, but this would be a huge mistake at this point in the season.

Leeds are striving for automatic promotion to the Premier League, but with the number of injuries emerging at Elland Road, Solomon could become a key player at any point in the season.

His most recent display was a far cry from his substitute appearance against Bristol City, having created little in the final third with a zero per cent dribble completion and only winning 50 per cent of his ground duels [FotMob].

The trip to Millwall on Wednesday 6 November could be a real turning point for the winger, but it could mean dropping Brenden Aaronson to the bench, meaning Wilfried Gnonto moving into the middle, or Dan James making way.
