Daniel Farke must axe Leeds United ace Jayden Bogle after what he did v Sunderland
Leeds United will have left Sunderland gutted after they somehow drew 2-2 at the Stadium of Light on Friday (4 October).
The game was fairly end-to-end with the Whites on the front foot for most of the clash.
They would’ve come away with all three points if it wasn’t for the catastrophic error Illan Meslier made in the dying embers of the game.
The Frenchman spilt Junior Firpo’s last-minute deflection into his net, leaving his side with one point.
Although Meslier was solely to blame for the West Yorkshire outfit dropping three points, Jayden Bogle was another of Daniel Farke’s men who didn’t have the best of games.
Leeds United to drop Jayden Bogle v Sheffield United?
Bogle was Leeds’ first permanent summer arrival after he joined from the Blades in a deal worth around £5million [John Percy, 20 July].
Although many would describe the right-back as the best in the Championship, the 24-year-old has been known to have a mistake in him.
His performance against Sunderland left a lot to be desired as the defender managed 54 touches throughout the clash [Sofascore].
In terms of defensive work, Bogle managed to make two clearances, one interception and three tackles.
While these numbers may seem fairly solid, he was often left behind by Sunderland’s attackers with the full-back even playing a role in the terrible ending.
Bogle lost possession of the ball nine times and was dribbled past twice. These statistics may not seem like the be-all and end-all but, when you’re a defender, it’s important to not allow opponents to capitalise off a loose ball.

He only won 50 per cent of his duels on the ground and although he was better aerially with a 66 per cent success rate, it feels as if he could’ve been far stronger.
Of course, one game shouldn’t decide a player’s future, Sam Byram might be the safer option against the free-flowing Blades.
Especially when his superior defensive capabilities are taken into account.
