Daniel Farke has Leeds United headache after what Jayden Bogle did v Blackburn

Jayden Bogle may have helped Leeds United lose some of their footing in the Championship title race after the poor performance he put in during their 1-0 loss to Blackburn on Saturday.

The right-back was one of the Whites’ worst players on the day and left an awful lot to be desired with his performance.

Leeds have been in decent form this season but if their performance at Ewood Park is anything to go off, the title is far from being in their grasp.

Why Jayden Bogle may have cost Leeds United in the title race

If the Whites managed to beat Blackburn on Saturday, they’d be sitting at the top of the table and would be in a far better position to try and pip Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United come the end of the season.

When looking at the statistics of Bogle from the game, it’s clear that the right-back was the weakest link.

As per Sofascore, in the 90 minutes Bogle was on the pitch, he had 65 touches of the ball and managed to maintain a pass accuracy of 84 per cent.

The accuracy of his passing may have been on point but aside from that, nothing else really stands out about his performance.

Defensively, Bogle left a lot to be desired, with the right-back winning just 14 per cent of his ground duels and only making three clearances throughout the game.

He did win 100 per cent of his aerial duels (1) but he wasn’t really tested much in the air throughout the clash.

The right-back also lost possession of the ball 14 times, made three fouls and made no key passes whatsoever.

While the accuracy of his passes may have been strong, his crossing of the ball and ability to ping the ball up the pitch were tested with the former Sheffield United man hitting zero per cent of either accurately.

Bogle may well be seen as one of the best right-backs in the league but if the defender can’t find his form again, he could be left rather red-faced by the end of the term.

Farke will no doubt be hoping that Sam Byram will be back to full fitness before their next clash against Derby on 7 December.
