Dan James starts in two changes – Leeds predicted XI vs Bournemouth

Dan James could return to the starting lineup when Leeds host Bournemouth on Saturday.

Off the back of Leeds’ 3-1 victory against Wolves, optimism levels are significantly higher than they had been for a few weeks.

This weekend, the Whites return to Elland Road to face Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth, with hopes of picking up back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

To achieve that, Daniel Farke could make two changes to his starting 11, including the return of James after he missed the last Premier League encounter.

Daniel Farke to name unchanged backline for Leeds

Karl Darlow has given a good account of himself for Leeds since stepping in for the injured Lucas Perri, who is expected to miss out again against the Cherries.

Jayden Bogle is a nailed-on starter for the Whites when fit, as is Gabriel Gudmundsson, with the duo expected to start at Elland Road once again this weekend.

Jaka Bijol is still waiting for his chance at Leeds, but that is unlikely to come this weekend with a defensive partnership of Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk expected centrally.

In midfield, Farke could make one change that would see Sean Longstaff drop out of the starting 11 for the return of Ao Tanaka, who was named on the bench against Wolves.

Longstaff was guilty of losing his man for Wolves’ opening goal last time out, and in general, offered little to the game given the Whites’ dominance.

He is expected to be partnered by Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach, who impressed for Leeds against Wolves.

Dan James could return for Leeds

Both Dan James and Willy Gnonto could return for Leeds when they host Bournemouth, though Farke is expected to clarify their availability in his press conference on Thursday.

If fit, James will occupy the right flank, with Noah Okafor, despite his injury concern, expected to start on the opposite wing.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his first goal for Leeds at the weekend, and will be given a chance to carry on his momentum when Bournemouth travel to Elland Road.
