Concerning Leeds United statistic shows what is vital for Premier League survival
Leeds all of a sudden look in real trouble after losing to Brighton on Saturday.
Brighton beat the Whites 3-0 in the Premier League at the Amex Stadium, as Leeds’ survival chances took a hit after the loss.
The game came with its controversy as Daniel Farke and Fabian Hurzeler exchanged words in German, in a heated argument between the two regarding Ethan Ampadu’s poor challenge on Diego Gomez.
Now, after another poor away display, the Whites need to bank on Elland Road being their saviour, as a damning record has started to emerge.

Leeds cannot score away from home
Elland Road is a fortress, and Leeds have already had success on their own patch in multiple Premier League games this season.
Leeds beat West Ham 2-1 last time at Elland Road, in a game which now looks to be crucial as the Hammers also face a serious worry of relegation.
However, Leeds’ goal-scoring record away from home is so bad that it may mean Elland Road will have too much of a task to face in keeping the Whites up this season
| Game | Result | Shots | Goals |
| Arsenal vs Leeds | 5-0 Loss | 3 | 0 |
| Fulham vs Leeds | 1-0 Loss | 10 | 0 |
| Wolves vs Leeds | 3-1 Win | 6 | 3 |
| Burnley vs Leeds | 2-0 Loss | 19 | 0 |
| Brighton vs Leeds | 3-0 Loss | 5 | 0 |
Leeds looked toothless against Brighton, as a pattern is emerging of troubles in scoring away from home, with issues over a lack of shots or a poor conversion rate being evident in every game.
What’s even more concerning is that the only away goals scored have come against Wolves, who are yet to even pick up a win in the Premier League.

All the goals against Wolves came in one half, as Farke will have been thankful the Whites were actually clinical for once, as a lack of chance creation was on display despite the goals scored.
Leeds will need a miracle to win any of their next three home games
It gets worse for Leeds, as with the continuous struggles away from home, the Whites will not even be confident going into their next batch of home games.
Leeds’ next three home games:
- Leeds vs Aston Villa
- Leeds vs Chelsea
- Leeds vs Liverpool
All three of Leeds’ next opponents at Elland Road will prove to be very difficult, as realistically, a point would be good to take out of a possible nine.
Leeds fans will back the Whites all the way, no matter what, but ultimately, Farke needs to sort things out in away games, as Elland Road can only do so much.
