Leeds Super Fans want Adam Forshaw sold this summer
This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, Super Fans from our Leeds Insider Facebook page will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road.
Leeds United returned to pre-season training this week, with their early summer tests being completed.
There were plenty of pictures online, with a couple of familiar faces not spotted by fans throughout the week.
Adam Forshaw was one of those, with hopes he may recover during the off-season clearly not being heard by the midfielder.
Adam Pope was at Leeds Beckett University’s Carnegie Campus and shared an update on whether the midfielder was present.
“Didn’t see him today,” he said on Twitter.
But, the players weren’t altogether at any one time over a big facility at Leeds Beckett.”
Forshaw has been out for nearly two years now and is getting more chances than we can count on two hands.
The midfielder gave us hope of a return when featuring for the under-23s at the end of last season, but in typical fashion, he picked up another knock.
Marcelo Bielsa needs reliable players in this relentless system, especially given that he likes a small squad, and at this point, Forshaw is just wasting numbers, and wages.
We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans if they believe time is up for the midfielder, and he should be moved on this summer.
The response was overwhelming, with every single one admitting that it is time to cash in and bring in some better, more reliable options at Elland Road.
Here’s what they said…
There you have it, the jury is out.
It is hard to argue with that fact, despite how well Forshaw has been received during his time here, he has to be moved on.
