MOT View: Has Eddie Nketiah tweeted hint about whether he is happy at Leeds?

There has been a lot of talk about whether Eddie Nketiah will remain a Leeds United player past the end of the January transfer window.

Nketiah, 20, is on a season-long loan at Elland Road from Arsenal but is yet to start a single match in the Championship for the Yorkshire giants.

He has been a regular for Marcelo Bielsa, appearing 12 times off the bench in the league and scoring three goals in the process.

However, as reported by the Daily Mail, Arsenal are ready to call the young attacker back to North London due to his lack of starts and arrange another loan spell for him away from the Emirates.

It is understandable from Arsenal’s perspective because they will no doubt be unhappy with how little Nketiah is playing but, with Leeds top of the table, why should Bielsa change things up to accommodate a player who isn’t technically his?

Nketiah seems happy to stay at Elland Road anyway, based on his latest activity on social media.

The England Under-21 goal machine has uploaded an image of himself looking happy at training along with a caption that could be a hint about whether or not he wants to stay at Leeds.

“Keep smiling, keep working,” said the forward via his personal Twitter account on Thursday.

Is this Nketiah’s response to the speculation surrounding his future at the club?

While it would not be the end of the world if Arsenal did recall him next month, it would definitely be better for Bielsa to just keep hold of the squad that he has at his disposal.

We all know that the Argentine craves for consistency and does not like to make too many changes to his squad, whether that be in the transfer market or when it comes to team selection.

So if Nketiah wants to stay and is happy to keep learning from a top manager, then maybe Arsenal should consider that before making a decision on the youngster.
