Marcelo Bielsa wants to see more from Leeds forward Tyler Roberts
Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa says he wants to see more from Whites forward Tyler Roberts.
The Welsh international has started the last two Premier League matches and scored his first goal of the season in the 2-2 draw against Brentford last weekend (5 December).
With Patrick Bamford sidelined through injury, Roberts is expected to keep his place when Leeds travel to Chelsea on Saturday (11 December).
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge, Bielsa admitted that the 22-year-old is not yet maximising his potential.
“I think he is improving,” Bielsa said. “He can show a lot of his virtues and at the same time, there’s a lot of things he can do which he has not made evident yet.”

Roberts has struggled for large parts of his Leeds career and it has been suggested that he could leave Elland Road in January.
However, the forward has shown in the last two matches that he still has something to offer to the team and may have a future at the club after all.
Against Brentford last Sunday, he was WhoScored’s highest-rated player on the pitch with a grade of 8.3, which earned him a spot in the website’s Premier League team of the week.
As well scoring against the Bees, Roberts had the most shots out of any player (five) and completed the joint-most dribbles (three) [WhoScored].
The Welsh international was full of energy and showed real potential; the challenge now will be for him to put in that kind of performance on a regular basis.
With Patrick Bamford back on the sidelines, Roberts needs to make the most of his opportunities over the next few games.
In other Leeds United news, Thomas Tuchel has suggested that the Whites will have an advantage against Chelsea on Saturday.
