Leeds United fans have been looking at Erling Haaland wistfully again after another stunning Champions League performance and wondering what might have been.

Haaland scored another two goals for Borussia Dortmund in a 2-1 win over PSG on Tuesday night, making his tally for the season 10 in seven CL games and eight in five Bundesliga games.

The son of former Leeds player Alf-Inge Haaland is the biggest sensation in Europe at the moment, despite only being 19-years-old.

He was born in Leeds and once said his dream was to win the Premier League with the club.

And it turned out that Leeds tried to sign him back in the summer of 2018.

After his brace in the Champions League last night, Hay sent another tweet saying, "It’s not even hype with Haaland. Genuinely that good."

That got plenty of Leeds fans reacting on Twitter, with many holding out hope that he will complete what they see as his destiny and eventually sign at Elland Road.

After one fan said, "19 years old and probably the most in form player on the planet. Unbelievable talent", Hay replied saying, "You’d give Dortmund a chance in the CL on the basis of his goals. Nightmare to play against."

Here are the best reactions to Hay's tweet last night...

Tweet of the night, however, has to go to this fan who cheekily asked, "But is he Bielsa fit?" in reference to Jean-Kevein Augustin not getting a start since signing for Leeds in January.
