Ben White responds to official Leeds United post about centre-back on Twitter

A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

When Leeds United fans get mobilised, there's not a lot that can stop them. Certainly not opposing fans on the internet.

And the Leeds supporters have been busy over the past day making sure Ben White knows exactly how much they think of him, despite his loan period ending.

The Brighton player is now considering his future and Leeds are hoping that he rekindles his love affair with the club in the Premier League.

In the meantime, the official Leeds Twitter account called for fans to vote Ben White as the winner of the July Championship Goal of the Month.

White played 90 minutes in every single game Leeds played in the Championship en route to the title, but he waited until the final game of the season to score.

And what a goal it was. As the ball came out to him on the edge of the penalty area, White chested the ball and then thump-volleyed it into the top corner.

Is there nothing he can't do?

It seems like he's nailed on to win the award – which hopefully won't be his last in a Leeds shirt – and currently sits with 81% of the vote.

Poor Will Vaulks (Cardiff) and Adam Armstrong (Blackburn) don't stand a chance.

White himself responded to the official Leeds tweet with a custom emoji – and, as expected, got over 100 replies from fans desperate to see him back at Elland Road.

White – clock is ticking

We hope that White makes his decision sooner rather than later. The summer transfer window is open way beyond the start of next season and Leeds are currently in a pickle over centre-backs.

White is the number one target but with only Liam Cooper as a senior centre-back, Leeds can't afford to wait if they don't get a decision in the next few weeks.

If White wants to play for a club that loves him... Hopefully, this will help.
