Willy Gnonto lets Leeds United down after what he did v Plymouth
Daniel Farke will be disappointed with Willy Gnonto after the first half between Plymouth and Leeds United.
The Whites, chasing the league title, need a win to get their hands on the trophy, and also secure 100 points.
However, they are currently under the cosh and trail the hosts 1-0 at half-time.

Farke must bring off Gnonto at half-time
It’s evident that Leeds are lacking the X-Factor in the final third and if things don’t click in the second period, they’re not finding a way back into the game.
Gnonto, playing on the right, has failed to be influential and has often cut an isolated figure in the game.
When he’s been involved, he has failed to make a difference, and as per Sofascore, he has lost possession on eight occasions.
Stats v Plymouth | Willy Gnonto |
Possession lost | 8 |
Cross accuracy | 0 out of 2 |
Dribbles success rate | 0 out of 1 |
Shots off target | 1 |
Given the fact that he’s completed just 11 passes, Farke will not be pleased with how wasteful he’s been in possession.
The Italian has also been erratic with his crossing, as both of his attempts thus far have proven to be unsuccessful.
He’s also not managed to take on his opponent, something he’s usually good at, and that will be a worry for the Leeds manager.
Largie Ramazani must come on for Leeds United
Largie Ramazani scored two goals off the bench in Leeds’ 4-0 win over Bristol City and he arguably should have been in the starting eleven.
However, the fact that he’s on the bench gives Farke an option to turn to at half-time.
Gnonto has been good in recent weeks, but has been terrible on Saturday afternoon and this game is there to be won, so the German needs to be proactive with his changes.
Whether or not he does end up making changes at the break or gives his players 15 more minutes to force the initiative remains to be seen.
Burnley are currently drawing, but as Leeds are losing, the Clarets are in pole position to win the title.
