Willy Gnonto and two others who could leave Leeds United in January

Leeds United could look to offload several players in the winter window.

Leeds have some horrendous fixtures to come beforehand, though some plans will already be in place for the January transfer window.

The 49ers Enterprises have a lot of work to do if they are to keep the Whites in the Premier League, with plenty of incoming business needed at Elland Road.

However, in order to facilitate those arrivals, a handful of exits will have to happen, and Willy Gnonto could be one of them.

Saudi move beckons for Willy Gnonto

Gnonto has been out of action since September, and Daniel Farke’s latest comments suggest he isn’t much closer to a return.

With Dan James and seemingly Brenden Aaronson ahead of him in the pecking order, he could be one of the players sacrificed in January to raise funds where he needed.

Saudi Arabian clubs have shown an interest in Gnonto, as revealed by MOT Leeds News, and the slightest indication that he is available for transfer could invite offers.

Al-Hilal and Neom are the two clubs that have shown the most interest, and there is every chance that Leeds would greenlight his exit.

Jack Harrison’s time is surely up at Leeds

Jack Harrison, despite playing all but one of Leeds’ fixtures this season, has still not been able to register a goal or an assist.

His importance can certainly be questioned, with Farke even utilising him at left back in their latest 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

His wages are likely among the highest at Elland Road, and his impact throughout his time here has certainly not warranted that.

Another loan would not help Leeds, but if they can find a permanent suitor in January, it’s difficult to see the Whites standing in the way of an exit.

Joel Piroe will be growing frustrated at Elland Road

Leeds’ biggest concern is in regard to their forward options, with Noah Okafor the only attacker who has looked capable at this level.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has struggled for form, while Lukas Nmecha has very rarely had the chance to showcase his true worth.

However, both of the aforementioned duo are ahead of Joel Piroe in the pecking order, despite his impressive goal haul in the Championship last season.

Leeds will almost certainly be in the market for a new striker in January, and it would be hard to see Piroe wanting to stick around to be fourth choice.
