Wilfried Gnonto and Adam Forshaw to start – Leeds United predicted XI v West Ham United

Sam Allardyce is likely to make some changes to his Leeds United team for the Premier League clash with West Ham this Sunday (21 May).

The Whites must get a result to be able to ensure the relegation battle proceeds to the final day of the season, as they currently sit one point adrift of safety.

But after claiming a 2-2 draw with Newcastle most recently despite falling behind and going down to ten men, Big Sam must now find a way to claim a first win as manager to greatly boost the club’s chances of survival.

In goal Joel Robles is yet to do anything wrong since Allardyce arrived and he has established himself as the number one goalkeeper for the run-in ahead of Illan Meslier.

Luke Ayling notched a goal on his 250th appearance last time out and should continue at right-back, while Rasmus Kristensen has impressed as a centre-back under Big Sam and should keep his place in the side.

Junior Firpo had a shocker last time out and was sent off so is suspended for the game, which could see Max Wober shift across to left-back and see Robin Koch move back into central defence after a role in midfield last week at Elland Road.

That could open a spot up for veteran midfielder Adam Forshaw to come into the side with Allardyce impressed by his work so far, adding some energy and bite to the middle of the park. Weston McKennie is sure to start alongside him too, despite a host of unimpressive performances since arriving in January.

Further forward Jack Harrison has been a regular in the side since Allardyce’s arrival and he should stick in the team on the right hand side where he can be at his creative best.

Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford seem assured of their role down the middle in recent weeks despite Bamford’s struggles in front of goal, so both should expect to start this must-win game on the road.

On the left there are options but none are more dangerous than Wilfried Gnonto and the Italy international should get the nod as the best player for much of this season.

In other Leeds news, Andrea Radrizzani is preparing for his Elland Road exit amid a £78m development.
