What Jurgen Klopp has said about Fabio Carvalho will be music to Daniel Farke’s ears at Leeds

Fabio Carvalho could be a Leeds United player come January.

Leeds have given an excellent account of themselves in the Premier League so far this season, but there is no time for the Whites to rest on their laurels.

Instead, plans are already being put into place for the winter transfer window, with Fabio Carvalho linked with a move to Elland Road, as revealed by MOT Leeds News.

The 23-year-old has had a tough time since joining Brentford, but Jurgen Klopp’s comments on the midfielder will spark optimism, especially for Daniel Farke.

Fabio Carvalho was praised by Jurgen Klopp after Anfield move

Carvalho burst onto the scene at Fulham at just 19 years old, before making a move to Liverpool in a deal worth around £20million.

In his two years at Anfield, he made just 21 appearances and registered just three goal contributions before loan moves to Leipzig and Hull, and then a permanent move to Brentford.

His spell at Hull was particularly impressive, with 11 goal contributions in 20 appearances in the Championship, with Leeds linked with the Portuguese attacker at the time.

However, after arriving at Liverpool, Klopp was particularly impressed with his versatility, and when a Champions League-winning manager speaks, you listen.

As quoted on the Liverpool site, he said: “What a talent he is, hey? A player who can bring a stadium to its feet. He puts his personality into his performances, he is confident and adventurous with the ball, and he wants to make things happen.

“He is a versatile player for sure and is very much an attacking threat with his creativity and dynamism.”

Daniel Farke loves players who are versatile

Brenden Aaronson is the prime example for Farke’s desire for versatility, having joined initially as a ten and but used as a right-winger over the last few weeks.

It’s not the only time Farke has experimented either, with Joel Piroe and Jack Harrison just two other examples of players who have been asked to play in a multitude of roles under the German.

Carvalho could be available on a loan or a permanent basis, and if Leeds can secure his services, it would certainly be a coup.

Not only would it give the Whites a solid option as a number 10, but it would relieve the pressure on the wide players by having another quality asset to utilise there.
