Wayne Rooney will be thrilled with what Leeds boss Daniel Farke has just said
Wayne Rooney will be thrilled after what Daniel Farke has said about Leeds United loanees ahead of the January transfer window.
The Whites loaned Darko Gyabi to Plymouth on a season-long loan this term and the midfielder has made 17 appearances for the fellow Championship side so far.
Rooney has clearly been impressed with the youngster as he continues to be a regular in his side as they look to climb out of the relegation zone.
His form this season has led the 20-year-old to get his first call-up for the England U21 squad last month showing the promise in the young player.
Amid injuries in the Whites squad, there were talks over recalling the youngster who has made five senior appearances for Leeds so far.
However, in his pre-match press conference ahead of a visit to Deepdale, Daniel Farke has confirmed that he has no plans to recall loanees as he said [quoted via Leeds Live]: “No, in general, I am not a fan of sending out loans for a few months.
“They need a full year. I want them to develop their personality and fight against the odds if they are not playing. A proper year is important for development.”
Darko Gyabi can show Leeds United what he can do with Plymouth
Gyabi has been playing regularly for Rooney at Plymouth so far this season and the youngster will no doubt be enjoying his regular game time and building up his experience in the Championship.
Therefore, allowing the 20-year-old to stay put will no doubt be the best decision for all parties. Ethan Ampadu is now back in training and hopefully, by the time the January transfer window comes around, they won’t need any cover for him.

With this in mind, you can imagine that if Farke brought the midfielder back to Elland Road it would mean a lack of minutes which could limit the development he is having at Argyle.
Meanwhile, with Plymouth sitting 23rd in the table and without a win in five, Rooney will be relieved that he won’t be losing any players as he looks to save his side and prove himself as a manager in England.
The Whites boss isn’t keen to do much business in the transfer window but as he looks ahead with his side, he knows what he will have to do in the short term to ensure everyone at the club can benefit both now and in the long-term.
In other Leeds news, the 49ers could give Danierl Farke a perfect gift going into January with “outstanding” on-loan ace.
