View: Total transformation from Leeds loanee must be surely rewarded with permanent deal

Jack Harrison has claimed that there is “no reason” why he shouldn’t want to stay at Leeds United this summer, and we couldn’t agree more.

The 23-year-old is currently approaching the end of his two-year loan spell, but the Whites have an option to buy written into their agreement with the winger’s parent club, Manchester City.

And after registering five goals and seven assists for this season, Harrison has admitted that he is more than content to stay put in Yorkshire if Leeds decide to make their move this summer.

As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, he said: “It’s been great for my development.

“It’s been a great experience, the lads have been great, working with the coaching staff I’ve learned a lot.

“There’s no reason why I should say no I don’t want to be here next season.

“Hopefully if it’s in the Premier League, even better. Fingers crossed that happens.”

And we would be absolutely delighted if Harrison stayed at Leeds this summer.

The 23-year-old has come on leaps and bounds this term, and looks very much as if he’s ready to make the step up to the top flight.

So far this season, as per Wyscout, Harrison has a higher pass completion rate, a higher shot accuracy rate, a higher xG, a higher dribble success rate, a higher cross accuracy rate, and a higher total action success rate than he recorded last season.

In pretty much every aspect of his game he has improved, and he is fully deserving of a permanent deal if one is on the table.

Such widespread progression would suggest that the wide man still has potential left to unlock, and where better for him to do that than at a club that is on the up and where he is clearly very happy.
