View: Pascal Struijk stinks out Molineux – Leeds United player ratings in amazing win v Wolves

Leeds United were involved in yet another Premier League classic on Friday evening at Molineux against Wolves.

The Whites were once again battered by injuries, with Jesse Marsch being forced into using all four substitutions.

Jonny and Francisco Trincao got the goals in the opening 45 minutes, and once Raul Jiminez was sent off, it all changed, with Rodrigo, Jack Harrison and Luke Ayling turning it around to win 3-2.

Here is how MOT Leeds News rated the players below…

Illan Meslier – 5

The young Frenchman made one notable save and could do nothing about the goals before being forced off with injury after a brave challenge – could mean that every single area of the squad has now been affected with problems.

Luke Ayling – 9

The full-backs are becoming a real issue at Elland Road now, and they appear to be getting worst each week. Having said that, he was everywhere in the second half and he popped up with the winner, what a man.

Diego Llorente – N/A

The Spaniard was another who was forced off injured, with this season becoming no more than a comedy show at times with these issues.

Pascal Struijk – 1

What has happened? If there weren’t numerous injuries right now, no one needs to be dropped and taken out of the spotlight more than Struijk right now. The mistakes are far too frequent and can’t keep happening.

Stuart Dallas – 4

You can always expect bravery from this man, but the quality has lacked and it did again tonight. We are seeing the defender caught flat-footed nearly every single week, and it is leading to us conceding far too many goals from it.

Mateusz Klich – N/A

The Polish international tried to be his busy self but was yet another man to be taken off through injury after a clash of heads with Robin Koch.

Adam Forshaw – 7

The midfielder struggled in the opening half, but he really did grasp the game and take control once Wolves went down to 10 men, pushing forward and creating chances – we need more of that from whistle one.

Leeds United

Rodrigo – 8

The Spaniard appears to be the one really picking everyone up during this relegation dogfight, and he was incredibly composed to finish off his goal when the chance came – we need more of this influence between now and the end of the season.

Jack Harrison – 5

It was a big task for the winger to replace Raphinha in the end, and he did get his goal and never stopped running throughout. Hopefully, that will give him more confidence between now and the end of the season to bring back that quality that we have seen before.

Patrick Bamford – N/A

Heartbreak. The England international missed a couple of great chances before hurting his foot once again, let’s hope he isn’t out for too long after the break.

Leeds United

Dan James – 6

Never stops running. The Welshman never really had any big moments but did hit the post before the second goal with an audacious chip. One thing you can guarantee is that he will always be a huge danger in the final third.

Leeds United Substitutes;

Kristoffer Klaesson – 7, Charlie Cresswell – 7, Robin Koch – 7, Sam Greenwood – 5.
