View: Latest Crystal Palace injury news a huge boost for Leeds United

Leeds United are to be handed a major boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Monday night [April 25].

It will be a tough game against a very well-coached Eagles team but Patrick Viera’s injury update on Michael Olise and Luka Milivojevic ahead of the clash will make Jesse Marsch’s life much easier.

Olise was forced off against Newcastle after “not feeling 100%” and it remains uncertain whether the winger will be fit enough to face the Whites.

Captain Milivojevic missed the trip to St. James’ Park having been subbed off with a hamstring issue against Chelsea at Wembley and the Palace boss may not want to risk the key midfielder ahead with six games still to play this season.

Marsch will be buzzing if the key duo miss the Selhurst Park encounter because they make a massive difference to the team.

Must win.

This will be a huge boost for Leeds who have their own injury problems to contend with Adam Forshaw set to miss the rest of the season following his fractured kneecap suffered in training.

As well as the obvious absence of Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips who is yet to return despite being included in matchday squads in recent weeks.

Olise will be a huge miss for Crystal Palace. The 20-year-old has been involved in 12 goals across all competitions this season but he has really hit his stride over the last several weeks – putting in some impressive displays.

The tricky forward has the skill to flip a game on its head in an instant and the Whites players will breathe a huge sigh of relief if his name isn’t on the teamsheet next week.

Of course, Milivojevic’s absence will also have a huge impact on the Eagles. He is the leader in that team and has a very strong presence in the midfield. His absence could allow Leeds to assert their dominance in the middle of the park and in turn, win the game.

It is crucial that Marsch’s men win this game to avoid being dragged back into the relegation scrap.

In other Leeds United news, Forshaw still has important role for Leeds United according to Marsch.
