View: Bielsa to make big change to starting XI v Southampton after huge Thorp Arch development

Marcelo Bielsa dropped huge news on Monday morning from his Thorp Arch press conference when he revealed that Robin Koch and Mateusz Klich are now on their holidays and won’t play again for Leeds United this season.

And it means that Marcelo Bielsa will be making at least one big change to his starting line-up for the game against Southampton on Tuesday.

The obvious replacements are Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo.

Roberts has been getting the nod recently but is still looking for his first goal in the Premier League.

Rodrigo came on for Patrick Bamford in the 4-0 win against Burnley and put in a brilliant performance.

Roberts replaced Klich in the 76th minute.

We can’t see Bamford getting dropped. However, we can see Rodrigo replacing Klich on Tuesday.

He looked back to his best and he’s a much better option than Roberts. Rodrigo is a Spain international and, with all due respect to Roberts, a class above the 22-year-old.

He hasn’t started since the end of January but we’re expecting him to get the nod and play in the number 10 position against Southampton.

And, with Raphinha and Rodrigo both on the pitch and looking back to their best, we’re expecting Leeds to have too much for Southampton.

A win tonight will cement a top-half finish for Leeds which is quite an extraordinary achievement.

And that could see players like Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez, and maybe some Under-23 stars, getting game-time in front of the fans in the final game of the season against West Brom, who are already relegated.
