Tottenham have underused player who Daniel Farke believes can be among world’s elite
Leeds United welcome Tottenham to Elland Road on Saturday for what could be one of the tougher games of their season so far.
Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League last season, but they have started brightly under their new manager Thomas Frank.
Frank’s new signings, including Mohammed Kudus and Palhinha, have bedded in well at Tottenham. The team is currently sat in four place in the Premier League with 11 points.
What’s more, they’ve barely used a young player who Daniel Farke once labelled as “one of the biggest talents in his group in this country”.

Thomas Frank has underused Archie Gray at Tottenham
Archie Gray received this praise shortly after he burst onto the scene as a professional at Leeds United.
He played 51 games in his breakthrough season at Elland Road in the 2023-24 season, and was one of Leeds best players at the age of just 17.
This form alerted Tottenham, who signed for Gray for around £30million in July 2024.
Gray made 46 appearances for Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou last season, but he has been underused ever since Thomas Frank was appointed. He’s managed just one start and one stoppage-time substitute appearance in the Premier League so far.

That may disappoint Farke and others at Leeds who may have expected to see him used more.
As well as describing Gray as one of the “biggest talents in his age group” in April 2024, Farke also Gray has “the potential to reach everything”, with “the sky is the limit” for him.
Will Tottenham sign Harry Gray from Leeds?
Leeds have a new boy wonder in their youth academy, and it’s Archie Gray’s brother, Harry.
Harry Gray, 16, has only made one senior appearance for Leeds, but he is already being hyped as the next big star to break out of the Leeds academy.
Gray is a striker who’s already scoring goals for fun at under-21 level, and he has been an unused substitute in the Premier League this season.
News reports suggest that Tottenham are interested in signing Harry Gray as well as Archie, although there has been no official bid.
However, Leeds remain confident of tying Harry Gray down to a senior contract once he turns 17. All noise coming out of Elland Road suggest that the youngster is more than excited to sign it.
While Farke hasn’t been quite so forthcoming about Harry Gray’s talent compared to what he said about Archie, it’s believed that this is a deal that all parties are excited to complete.
