Tammy Abraham signs, Meslier departs – Leeds predicted lineup next season

Leeds United will have a huge summer ahead, regardless of which division they find themselves in.

As it stands, Leeds are on course to achieve promotion back to the Premier League, but if that is to be the case, improvements will be needed on the pitch.

A slight blip in form has seen the Whites win just one of their last four, with the latest 2-2 draw to QPR raising some concerns ahead of the final run-in.

However, if promotion is achieved, Leeds have some areas to improve if they are to have a fighting chance of achieving survival in the Premier League.

Illan Meslier to be replaced Leeds United

Illan Meslier has received his fair share of criticism this season, though Farke has instilled faith in the Frenchman that could end this summer with an exit from Leeds potentially on the cards.

Caiomhin Kelleher has been linked with a switch to Elland Road [Give Me Sport], and it could be a target they pursue upon promotion to strengthen that position.

In defence, Jayden Bogle has thrived on the right, while Junior Firpo has replicated that on the left. However, the latter is still in one to leave at the end of the season which could open the door for a move for Dennis Cirkin, after the Sunderland defender was linked with a switch to Leeds.

Cirkin would be a good replacement for Firpo.

However, that one is likely to hinge on whether Sunderland achieve promotion themselves.

Joe Rodon will retain his place in the side, with Ethan Ampadu partnering him in the heart of defence.

Ao Tanaka will be the engine in midfield, with Kalvin Phillips his potential partner after it was reported that a return to Leeds United is of interest to the club [TEAMtalk].

Leeds to secure permanent deal for Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon has been integral to this season’s success, and Leeds will likely look to turn that into a permanent deal this summer.

Given Brenden Aaronson’s struggles this campaign, it is highly unlikely he will be trusted in the 10 role in the Premier League, opening the door for Willy Gnonto to stamp his authority in the team.

Dan James will be afforded another shot at the Premier League, with the Welshman thriving in the Championship, with a new man to play off up top.

Tammy Abraham has been linked with Leeds over the last few weeks, though any deal is likely to hinge on their ability to make a return to England’s top flight.

Should that be achieved, there is every chance that Abraham could be leading the line for the Whites next season.
