Stuart Webber misses Norwich ‘farewell’ as Leeds United move surely now on the cards
A move to Leeds United is now surely on the cards for Stuart Webber after a development has emerged at Norwich City.
The Sun journalist Alan Nixon reported on his Patreon on Sunday (12 November) that the Canaries’ director of football missed his last home game at Carrow Road against Blackburn Rovers on 5 November.
The Welshman, who Nixon reported was on the Whites’ radar on 29 October, is set to leave the Norfolk-based club after handing in his notice in June.

The journalist said the 39-year-old missed Norwich’s 3-1 defeat against Blackburn to attend a summit for a new football organisation in Brazil.
He added that Webber was a guest of honour at a “convergence of minds and visions” in the South American country that also featured a Norwich scouting colleague.
The director was initially due to remain at Carrow Road until the end of this year, but after the handover of power has already been completed, he is now free to leave his role early.
Alongside Leeds, he has also been linked with a move to Rangers, but Football Scotland reported on 2 November that the Ibrox club are not interested in taking him to Glasgow.
That means the Whites have a free run at Webber if they are keen to snap him up as they are still on the lookout for a new director of football following the departure of Victor Orta back in May.
With less than two months to go until the January transfer window, it is imperative that the club secure the appointment of an experienced director before what will no doubt be a crucial time in the season.
The Welshman completely fits the bill on the back of some of his excellent work at Norwich, where he underwent a number of successful years alongside Daniel Farke.

The duo played a key role in helping the Canaries twice earn promotion up to the Premier League and were involved in a number of deals that not only improved the side but also secured the club’s long-term future with some hugely profitable player sales.
It won’t be long before other sides start to look at Webber’s situation and make a move to bring in someone who has a successful track record behind him and a strong reputation.
It would be the perfect appointment for the Whites given his experience and previous relationship with Farke, so it’s now surely time to start taking the steps to bring him to West Yorkshire.
In other Leeds United news, a player who snubbed a move to Elland Road has raved about Farke after what he did.
