Sergino Dest could give Leeds United a wing-back threat with Stuart Dallas injured
Sergino Dest could give Leeds United a much-needed wing-back threat if he was to make the move to Elland Road from Barcelona.
TEAMtalk reported on Wednesday that the Whites have eyes on the versatile Barcelona full-back and if true they should certainly be pursuing the move.
Luke Ayling and injured Stuart Dallas are Leeds’ main right-backs at present, so strengthening that position could be an option.

The 21-year-old is not part of Xavi’s plans at the Nou Camp.
However, an injury-hit season and a change of manager haven’t helped the full-back.
Dest has featured 31 times for Barcelona this season predominantly at right-back, although he has played at left-back on a few occasions.
Dest is an example of a modern full-back, whose attacking capabilities out away his defensive skillset.
As per Wyscout, Dest averages 6.43 dribbles per game, which puts him in the top 20 for the whole of Laliga.
Defensively, Dest averages eight duels a game with a 64% success rate.
The 21-year-old is eager to drive forward at every opportunity making five passes to the final third per match with an 87% success rate.
Furthermore, he averages three progressive runs per 90.

There is a player in Dest, but he has been unfortunate with injuries and form this season.
At the age of 21, there is no reason why he can’t revive his career elsewhere.
Working under Jesse Marsch at Leeds United could be a good fit for the full-back.
There is a chance that Barcelona could let the full-back leave for relatively cheap in order for them to comply with FFP.
If Marsch can lure the player to Yorkshire and give him the confidence and belief in his excellent ability, then there is no reason why he can’t be an excellent asset for Leeds.
