Sebastiaan Bornauw can now help Leeds United seal Mario Stroeykens – This is how
Leeds United should look towards Sebastiaan Bornauw to sign Anderlecht playmaker Mario Stroeykens in the upcoming transfer windows.
The Whites signed the centre-back from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer as they looked to reinforce their squad for the Premier League.
With the likes of Jaka Bijol and Bornauw arriving at Elland Road, the West Yorkshire outfit opted to add experience and physicality to their squad.
Daniel Farke’s main aim is to survive Premier League relegation this season, and he will certainly want to see more investment at the Peacocks to help his prospects further.

Anderlecht appoint Sebastiaan Bornauw’s father as new CEO
Kenneth Bornauw, Sebastiaan’s father, has been appointed as the new chief executive officer of Anderlecht, according to VRT.
The news outlet reported on 16 October that the Belgian outfit’s CEO will now have the final say on the important decisions at Lotto Park.
Farke wanted Stroeykens in the previous transfer window, and the Whites may now have an opportunity to have a better connection with Anderlecht through the Bornauws.
The centre-back could potentially be used as a link between the West Yorkshire outfit and his father, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Elland Road hierarchy build on their relationship with the Jupiler Pro League club.

Stroeykens has been one of the most exciting talents at Anderlecht, and the 21-year-old has shown he possesses a lot of potential.
Mostly playing in the number 10 role, the right-footed midfielder has been a key player at Lotto Park in recent seasons.
Leeds United to replicate Noah Okafor success with Mario Stroeykens
Noah Okafor has been influential at Leeds since his move to LS11 from AC Milan in the summer.
The 25-year-old Switzerland international has two goals in five Premier League appearances, making the left-wing his own.
Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes played |
39 | 5 | 7 | 2564 |
While Stroeykens has usually been deployed as an attacking midfielder, he’s capable of playing on the left side of attack, and the Whites may be able to unlock his full potential in that position.
It will be interesting to see whether the recent developments at Anderlecht will give the West Yorkshire outfit an advantage in securing talents from Lotto Park.
